Question:

I need a hitch and wiring for my Model Y. I will be towing a small trailer pretty soon so i want to have everything I need. What do you recommend for me?

For your 2023 Tesla Model Y I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT58MR.This is a custom fit Class III hitch with a 2" receiver. The hitch features a completely hidden design with the bumper panel in place, and comes with a limited lifetime warranty.

For wiring, you will need the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT. This uses zero-contact interface sensors so no splicing is required. Once installed, you will have a 4-way to power your trailer's signal lights.

In order to complete your setup you will also need a ball mount. Check out the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. This kit has two ball mounts, one with a 3/4" rise or 2" drop and the other with a 2-3/4" rise or 4" drop. It also comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball, as well as a ball mount bag to store everything in.
