It sounds like you are already on the right track. You can indeed use an adapter like the Pollak # PK12716 for this purpose. This will plug in to the 7 way plug on your Tesla Model Y, and give you a 4 flat connector on the other end, which you can plug your bike rack into.

Hi Can I use this to power brake lights and turn signals on a Thule Archos cargo box? I am also using a 2025 model Y with a 7 pin adapter. The Archos is a 4pin adapter.
