Question:

Hello, I have a 2007 Dodge Dakota quad cab SLT. It has a bumper ball hitch. Will this work as long as I remove the currently installed ball?

Yes, all you need to do is remove the hitch ball from your 2007 Dodge Dakota and you'll be able to install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13229!

But do you HAVE to remove the currently installed ball? Mine looks very rusted and hard to remove. Can I add this hitch with that existing ball without removing the ball?

@Dale The hitch literally has a section of it that comes up through the bumper so the hitch ball 100% needs to be removed. This is how all of the hitches install on your vehicle so you'll need to find a way to remove it. If this isn't something you think you can accomplish on your own, I recommend checking out our installer locator in the linked section below. This will show you shops we do business with in your area who have said they can do hitch installations.
