This hitch gives you a solid way to tow or haul gear whenever you need it. With a 2" x 2" receiver opening and a Class III rating, it handles up to 5,000 lbs maximum gross trailer weight and 500 lbs maximum tongue weight. When used with weight distribution, it steps up to 8,000 lbs GTW and 800 lbs TW. Whether you're hooking up a small trailer or mounting a bike rack or cargo carrier, this hitch has the strength and stability for everyday pulling and hauling.
You don’t need special tools or a lift to put this one on. The fully welded hitch bolts directly onto the vehicle’s frame using included hardware—no welding needed. It’s built for do-it-yourself installation with factory-matched mounting points for a snug, precise fit. The clean design lines up smoothly without modifications, making it practical to handle in your own garage or driveway.
This sturdy square-tube hitch is made from powder coated steel that’s both tough and corrosion resistant. The gloss black finish layered over a protective base coat helps shield it from rust, dings, and weather wear. Precision robotic welding adds extra strength at every joint so the hitch stays solid through years of towing and rough conditions.
The standard 2" receiver opening means you can use the same mounts and accessories most folks already own—ball mounts, bike racks, cargo trays, or even small campers. With its dependable ratings and consistent fit, this hitch adds real utility to your setup without needing adapters or extra parts.

The hitched showed up in the mail in excellent time. I placed the order on Monday at noon PST and it was shipped out the same day. I am very happy with the service I got from this company and the quality of the hitch I received. I would definately order from here again.
I ordered this item at noon PST on Monday and they shipped it out the same day. The instructions on the site on how to install were perfect and the hitch I ordered showed up in perfect condition. I would highly recommend this site and will shop here again.
Hitch went on just as the video instructions highlighted. Also, the wiring harness went in without a "hitch". All done within one hour. Wish all product installations went as smooth.
Craftsmanship of this trailer hitch is excellent and exceeded my expectations for an on line purchase.
Pure quality and delivered as promised. Took just a few minutes with an air impact wrench to get it installed. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a good product, and good customer service.
Hey just a trailer hitch, I have installed probably a dozen everything from escorts to custom vans, etrailer fastest shipper best service
I could not believe how well made and howwell the hitch fit my truck. this whole install took only twenty minutes to complete. The wire harness was so easy to hook up. The whole task was so much easier than any other hitch install I have ever attemped.
Omg! Etrailer order/shipping all ok. However, product from Curt the worst experience ever with a hitch! All order info points to me having the correct part number but all 4 side bolts holes (even oblong) did not line up. And then it gets worst! The one large bolt that goes down through the factory hole in bumper was the incorrect bolt. Meaning it had the wrong threads to match the hitch! And it was a pan head bolt when the surface is flat! Wtf? Disaster! And I have installed many hitches in my lifetime!
The hitch is very nice and would have been a snap to install on a new truck.
The old hitch was a universal item , I needed a torch, once all the old hitch was removed the etrailer went on pretty easy..
One thing the powder coating was pretty thick inside the threaded nipple that mounts off the bumper hole, it needed a tap to clean out all the cured powder coating.
It looks wonderful under the truck and gave it about another 31/2 inches of ground clearance.
I am very happy with the Curt Hitch from etrailer.com
Ok threads on top bolt were no good, bolt would not thread in. Had to go to hardware store and buy a grade 5 bolt ($4.62 ) and use a grinder to make a thread chaser run it through a couple of times and then the bolt screwed in. Other then that it installed great
The hitch is currently being put on and the only issue I'm having is that the bumper part that is threaded is super tight. My brother and I kept the bolts loose in order to thread it but it still wouldn't start. I wondered if it had been plugged with a bolt before it was painted and that was why it was so tight. I've got it started and I don't believe it's cross threaded but it's still extremely tight. Gonna man handle it in and hopefully it doesn't snap. It's a permanent install so I'm not too worried about it. Maybe the piece is welded at a slight angle. Hard to say. Great product. My 97 Dutchman will be able to ride correctly now.

It sounds like the troubles that you are having may describe a slightly flexed hitch. This is something that does happen in transport to our facility, and can happen when we ship them out. Please take a look at the crossbar that this bolt goes in and see if you can get a level or a speed square on it and check if is in alignment. It may have flexed a bit and be out of square. I have included one of our help articles for your reference that do describe how to fix a flexed hitch. It may also be beneficial to make sure that there is not any debris, or build up on the bumper where it looks like you had a trailer ball previously installed. I would suggest a stiff bristled brush and some lubricant like WD-40 or an equivalent.
Looks good need to install yet
Very quick delivery! Happy with the service, will recommend to friends!
The thread was not clean had to tap to fit bolt and it was a bit off center but overall the hitch was salid
It didn't install easily. Due to the geometry of the receiver, you have to either (1) remove the bumper or (2) spread the upper arms to get this into the mounting position on the truck. I chose to spread the arms. Once in position, the mounting holes on rear frame of the truck don't align with both slots of the receiver (meaning per side). You can get 1 bolt in on both sides and the 2nd slot on both sides does not align with the 2nd bolt hole. I had to grind out the rear slots to get the 2nd bolt in the hole on both sides. I'm not thrilled with the custom mangling I had to do.
