Does Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver 75540 Install On 2020 Lexus RX 350 F Sport Require Trimming?

Question:

Trailer hitch for 2020 RX 350 F Sport model. Does the #75540 need any additional cutouts, modifications to the car? Can we self install this item to the car?

You should have a simple bolt on installation for the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75540 on your 2020 RX 350 F Sport. While we have not installed the receiver on an F-Sport trim in our shop we have received several reviews mentioning how easy the installation was with no cutting required.

What about the performance dampner? Do I have to remove it permanently? Or can it be put back on over the hitch assembly?

@David I do see one person said they removed the dampner and others made no mention of it. As it sounds like it is not on every model you will most likely have to remove it. As I mentioned above we have not had a chance to install it on an F-sport in our shop so we do not know all the exact details for it.

@BudM Thanks for the reply. Loonig at the damper I can see It has to attach to the tow hook on the passenger side. The tow hook has a small triangle shaped support that would have to be cut off to put the hitch assembly over it. I guess the better question is what is the impact of removing that damper and putting the hitch assembly on. From the videos and pics I've seen it installs without the need to cut anything and it looks good
