Replacement LED Light Strip Option for Carefree Awning
Published 08/31/2023 >
Question:
I have a 2015 KZ Spree Escape E18RBT with a Carefree awning. I am replacing the strip lights in the awning tube. I measured 5/16inch wide for both the light strip and the channel in the awning tube. If this item is a full 3/8inch then it would be too wide. Any thoughts on finding the correct light strip or maybe the actual dimensions of the item are scant, maybe 5/16??

The Optronics Flexible LED Light Strip # UCL90CB is definitely 3/8" wide so it will be too wide for your awning, but you could still clean the side of your camper and mount this directly to the wall if you wish, that way you can use it without having to completely open up your awning.
I looked at some of our other options and they look to be too large as well so we don't have anything that will be a direct replacement for that channel in your Carefree awning tube.
