Can I please get a measurement from where the unit mounts to the ceiling/basement to the middle of the mounting plate?

With the MORryde Ceiling RV TV Mount # MR22ZR flipped down the space between the ceiling mounting bracket and center of the tv mounting bracket is approximately 9-1/2". When the flipped up the space between the two points is approximately 7-3/16"

In my experience the MORryde Wall Mount #MR82ZR will require additional mounting height to allow it to clear the storage door opening on most RV's. I have had better results using the Mount #MR38DR in the area you are looking to mount the TV.
