How to Retighten the Awning Fabric On a Solera Powered Awning

Question:

Oh, I installed a brand new Solara power awning. When fully extended the fabric is droopy. I’m wondering if I can spin the awning tube to tighten this up? I had to the arms down and in this process I took the awning out of the arm, and perhaps do not roll it enough? I have pictures I couldSend. Thank you

There are a couple of ways you can tighten the fabric on your awning. With the awning fully extended, you can dampen the awning fabric and let it dry out for about 15 minutes. This will cause the awning fabric to shrink back up a little bit and should return close to it's original form.

You can also check the screws on the rail that you would use to replace the fabric, and make sure that none of them have become loose to let some of the fabric out. You would need to pull the fabric back through the rail and re-tighten the screws.
