Greystone Electric Fireplace Shuts Off After 1-2 Minutes But Lights and Flames Still Work

Question:
I have a Greystone electric fireplace in a 2018 keystone raptor/ model # W36BCFW-1 When turned on the heat and fan works for about 1 minute and then stops . All back lights and flame works . I unplug it for 8-10 minutes and it works for maybe 2 minutes.

It sounds like either the automatic shutoff/overheat protection on your Greystone 36" Electric Fireplace # 324-000080 is kicking in and shutting down the unit or the thermostat is malfunctioning.
You'll want to start by checking all of the side and rear vents of the unit to make sure that there isn't any dust or debris clogging the vents and keeping the unit from dispersing heat; I recommend cleaning the vents off with compressed air and seeing if this remedies the issue.
If cleaning the vents out does not address your issue, the next most likely issue is that the thermostat on your unit is not functioning properly. Unfortunately there are no replacement parts available for these units, so you would need to replace your unit. If you wanted to replace it with the same unit that you currently have, the # 324-000080 can be used.
