How Do I Ground The White Wire When Assembling A Malone Kayak Trailer

Question:
I have noticed on the micro sport trailer there are no instructions to ground the white wire to the trailer frame. As I am having an issue with all of the lights working except for the running lights, I am wondering if it is a ground issue. Is there a point where the wiring is grounded on the trailer that I missed in the instructions?

It is odd that the Malone instructions for the trailer # MPG464-LB do not mention connecting the ground anywhere. On a trailer like this, the white wire can be grounded on the steel frame (usually near the tongue) using a self tapping screw # FA1131822 and a ring terminal # DW05737-1. Preferably an out of the way location where it is out of the elements. Make sure it is grounded to good clean metal, free of any corrosion. A bad ground would certainly explain the issue with your lights.
