Solution for Hitch Step for Truck With B&W Adjustable Ball Mount

Question:

I’m looking for an adjustable height hitch step. I see the ones by Curt and Bulletproof. Would either of these steps work on a BandW hitch? Or is there a different one that would work on a BandW hitch?

A hitch step like the Curt # C45909 is designed to fit inside of a channel. The design of a B&W ball mount like the # BWTS20049B would require a step that fit around the outside. Unfortunately, there are no options to add a step to the B&W.

However, you could use a step like the Gen-Y # GY79VR. The only thing this would lack is the ability to adjust the height. The only other option would be to switch ball mounts completely and use one like the # C45900 which would allow you to use the Curt step.
