Recommended Tailgate Light Bar For A 2013 Ram 1500
Products Featured in This Question
Question:
Please provide some answers or better yet a solution to my problem. I own a 2013 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn. I really want a tailgate light bar installed on my truck. The problem is that the tailgate umbilical cord controls my tailgate locks, and backup camera will not allow me to install a traditional “60” light bar. Do you have a Solution or a recommendation for me?

I'm not quite sure how your camera is blocking you from installing a 60" tailgate light bar, but we do have some solutions from Putco that plug into the back side of the factory 7-way using the Replacement Quick Connect Wiring Harness for Putco Blade or Red Blade Tailgate Lights # P529004.
You could then plug the light bar into the 4-pole connector on one of their light bars (listed below) for a super easy installation.
Separate 18" lights # P57CR (this one comes with the # P529004 adapter)
44" # P92010-44
48" # P92010-48
60" # P92010-60
If there's some other reason why this wouldn't work please let me know and I can try to find a solution.

The wiring going into the tailgate for camera and power lock are in the center of the tailgate and come out of the end of the bed where light bar needs to be mounted.
