Jeff: Hello, everybody. This is [email protected]. Today, we're going to take a look at this Putco 48-inch long red blade LED tailgate light bar. Now, this tailgate light bar will provide auxiliary stop, turn, tail, and backup light functions. And it is designed to install right underneath or at the bottom of your tailgate. It is a very simple installation, comes with all the included automotive-grade 3M tape or mounting clips with hardware for installation, and even includes some wire taps to tap into wiring.Now, these LEDs will produce a nice, bright red or white light, based on the signal.

Going to zoom in, just show you the bar itself. It has an upper row, which will be the white lights, when you go into reverse. And the bottom row would be the red lights. Now at the end of this video, I am going to hook this up to some power, just to show you how bright those lights are and how they operate.Now, this light bar does use the COB technology, which stands for "chip on board" LED technology. It'll help create a nice, bright, solid panel of light.

And the LED chips are mounted close together, so it gives you a nice, uniform, high-intensity light, similar to a lighting panel. It has a nice, sealed lens and housing unit, which is waterproof. It is IP69K rated to stand up to severe environmental conditions and any type of cleaning methods. Has a nice, tinted polycarbonate housing to provide a nice, sleek look. And it also contains this advanced logic box right here, this little black box.

This box will solve and eliminate all error codes from any trailering, backup assist, blind spot information systems and all currently known interference from the OEM systems on the new vehicles, now. It is even guaranteed to function correctly on all 2015 and newer Ford F-150 and 2017 and newer Ford Super Duty trucks.Now, this wiring harness will connect to your vehicle's existing light wiring, using this 4-way connector, plugs into the 4-way on your vehicle. And it does have a separate plug here, so that you do need to hardware it to the reverse function, so it'll give you the white backup lights. Application for this light bar It fits most midsize trucks. The dimension, the overall length is 48 inches long.

The width on it is five eighths of an inch wide. And once it's installed, heighth is only about three eighths of an inch. Now, the backup light output is over 3000 lumens, and the backup light color is a nice, cool white color.So what I want to do now is we're going to hook this up. Take our 4-way, go ahead and plug that in. And then with our 4-way plugged in, I'm going to go ahead and turn on our lights. And with that on, let me go ahead and turn off the overhead lights. And you can see, there's the lower row of the solid red LEDs that gives you the tail light function. And then, when you go to apply your brakes, you can see how it lights up a lot brighter. It's still just a single row, but it's a lot brighter.And then, if we do the turn signals, if we do a left turn, there's your left turn signal. And if we do a right turn, there's your right turn signal. And the last thing I want to show you is the backup light. So, when you shift into reverse for backup function. Again, that's where this connector will connect. And you can see, when you go in reverse, there's the nice, bright, cool white color light. And you go out of reverse, you're back to the tail light. Go back into reverse, there's your white light, again.Go ahead and turn off our power. Turn back on our overhead light.
