Can Bike Strap on Thule Epos Bike Rack Be Secured Anywhere on Bike

How do you secure your bike with this rack? Can I just use that strap anywhere?

Yes and no. The Thule Epos Bike Rack # TH99XE has a unique strap system that makes it compatible with literally any bike frame style and whether the bike has fenders or not, but there is one restriction with the strap and that's on the front tire (see attached from instructions).

If you need to secure your bike by the wheel then you'll want to run the strap around the back tire because the vast majority of bikes are heavier under the seat post which extends over the rear tire some. Securing the bike at this location gives you the most stability.
