Question:

Looking for a hitch and wiring for my 2023 CX-5 Carbon Addition. I'm going to be towing a small camper in the near future. It doesn't have brakes so I only need to power the lights.

For a hitch that fits your 2023 Mazda CX-5 Carbone Edition I recommend the etrailer # e98902. This hitch has a concealed cross tube and a bolt-on installation. What sets it apart from others is the matte black finish. This gives it an OEM look and also helps hide dirt and scratches.

For wiring, you can use the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C45FV. This plugs into the connection points in the rear cargo area for installation. Once installed, you will have a 4-way to power your camper's signal lights.

In order to complete your setup you will also need a ball mount. Check out the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. This kit has two ball mounts, one with a 3/4" rise or 2" drop and the other with a 2-3/4" rise or 4" drop. It also comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball, as well as a ball mount bag to store everything in.
