Is the brown wire the wire for parking light on led tail lights. Im trying to wire in number plate light

Trailers are usually wired so that the brown wire carries the running light circuit. The wire color on the wiring system of a vehicle can vary. You can easily find the correct circuit by turning the vehicle running lamps on and then using a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to test the wires feeding the taillight assembly until you find the wire that shows current. The # LPL31CB lamp has two wire leads, one would tap into the running light circuit, the other would tap into an existing ground wire or ground directly to the trailer or vehicle frame. It does not matter which of the two wires attaches where, just so long as one is connected to power and the other is grounded.
