Can Kodiak Oil Bath Body be Reused
Updated 07/10/2023 | Published 07/06/2023 >
Question:
Are the Kodiak oil bath conversion bodies reusable? I am concerned that once I take them off the aluminum will be scratched and deformed, compromising the seal/seat once Reinstalled. I have to take one of the ones I just bought off because the seal is bad. I would like to leave them on…but I won’t be able to get my cotter pin off then on again. Any suggestions are appreciated

You are right that the Kodiak XL ProLube Oil Bath Hub Body and Cap - 2.440" # XLPROLUBE2440 will be damaged when removed, and is not meant to be reused. It acts as part of the hub, essentially, so if you remove it you will need to replace it as well.
