Question:
Howdy! I am looking to swap out my 5 lug hubs for 6 lug hubs on my off road trailer to accommodate the same tires my vehicle has. They are basic hubs, no brakes. I think it is a 3500 axle. What info should I have to make sure I purchase the right hubs? Thanks!

Helpful Expert Reply:
Assuming that is actually a 3,500 lb axle, and you need a 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern, you can use the Easy Grease Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # AKIHUB-655-35-EZ-K. You will need to verify this information to make sure it is correct. I would start by checking the axle tag to see if it is listed. If not, pull the current hubs and check the bearings. Your standard 3,500 lb axle uses # L68149 inner and # L44649 outer bearings.
I have attached an installation video below, along with a helpful article on measuring bolt patterns for your reference.
