Recommended Tekonsha Brake Controller For 2023 Toyota Highlander Hybrid

Question:

I have a 2023 Highlander hybrid. What brake controller would you recommend to go with part no. TK57VR? My trailer has a seven-pin plug. The trailer has an installed Autowbrake, although Im reluctant to use, as Im used to a standard dash-mount controller. However to use it, what harness or connections do you recommend. Thanks! I recommend going with a Tekonsha brand brake controller. Especially if you will be installing # TK57VR as this kit comes with all of the necessary components to plug in a Tekonsha brand controller. Tekonsha is considered the best brand for brake controllers as far as quality, durability, and functionality.

If you want a great all-around dash-mount controller I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195. This will work great in both Hybrid and non-hybrid models. This is a fully proportional controller and will automatically adjust braking based on deceleration of tow vehicle. Large, accessible buttons make this very easy to operate if you are used to a standard dash mount controller.

If you do decide to use the Autowbrake system, this wiring kit # TK57VR would contain everything you need to be able to use it.
