Recommended 7-Way Connector and Brake Controller for a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan

Hello, I am looking to see if you can help me locate the parts needed to wire a 7-pin trailer plug on my 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan. It does not have any existing wiring. Thanks.

I would be happy to help. To add a 7-way vehicle connector to your 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan you will need the Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness w Brake Controller Adapter item # 22121. This harness is custom fit and plugs into your van's factory wiring behind the tail lights. Not only will it give you a 7-way connector but it also provides you with a brake controller adapter.

For a compatible brake controller, I recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller item # RED24FR. This is a proportional brake controller that activates your trailer's brakes when your Grand Caravan decelerates. It has a unique installation method where the only visible portion is the control knob that's about the size of a nickel. The main unit is hidden away inside your dash to be completely out of the way and out of sight.

To connect the Tow-Pro Liberty item # RED24FR to the Tekonsha brake controller adapter you will need the Redarc Tow-Pro Wiring Adapter for Tekonsha Brake Controller Harness item # 331-TPH-017.
