Question:
Hello. Im looking for a recommendation for a suspension equalizer. I prefer not to change the trailers ride height. I will also upgrade to a wet bolt, brass bushing and HD shackles kit. Ive looked at the road armor, dexter ez flex and morryde systems but am open to any suggestions you may have. Some of those require more clearance above the tire than my trailer had available. Here are my specs: A.. 33 wheelbase B. 4400 lb axles C. Overslung springs. 1 3/4 D. Stock equalizer. 2 1/4 center to center from top hole to 2 bottom holes. 6 between the two bottom holes. E. About 2 3/4 to 3 above tires to frame when loaded Id like to get the best system I can. The dexter k71-652-00 is nice. I like the CRE3000 by morryde but not sure I have the clearance above my tires. The roadarmor is my favorite but it may be to big for my trailer.

If you want the best, it's the MORryde Rubber Equalizers for Tandem Axle Trailers part # MR87ZR. These are the best as they offer the most travel which is basically how much that rubber bushing compresses and the more it compresses, the better ride quality you'll have. The next best option is the Road Armor, followed by the Equa-Flex, followed by the E-Z Flex in that order. The MORryde Rubber Equalizers offer up to 3" of travel which is more than all other options (when measured correctly, couch cough Lippert). If you want upgraded shackle links, wet bolts, and bronze bushings then you'd simply add the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers part # MR46ZR.
There shouldn't be any clearance issues, the new equalizers are about the same size as the old so there should not be a noticeable change in height.
