Hidden Hitch Fitment on a 2010 BMW X5

Question:

Hello…I’m interested in the hidden tow hitch 76903. It’s made for vehicles including the 2010 X5, but not the X5M, which is what I own. I’m wondering what’s the difference that excludes the M vehicle. Thanks

The Hidden Hitch by Draw-Tite item # DT36GR is only listed as fitting the standard model of the 2010 BMW X5 because of the rear fascia and trim added to the rear of the M models. You would have to make significant cuts in your rear bumper area to get the receiver to attach to the rest of the hitch.

The only hitch that is confirmed to fit the 2010 BMX X5M is the Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver item # SH29VR.
