How To Find Out Which Replacement Leaf Spring Fits 2016 Forest River X-Lite 272

Question:

Hello, I have a 2016 Forrest River Wildwood x-lite 272 bunkhouse. Yesterday coming home, I broke a leaf spring on the right rear axle. The camper then ped onto the right wheels which tore up the plastic wheel well liner. I want to know if you can help me a new set of springs and hardware for this camper? Also are you able to also share step by step instructions and torque specs? Thank you very much! Bryan

I can help you figure out the correct replacement leaf spring, but there isn't a database available to use that will be able to tell me which specific parts are used on your 2016 Forest River Wildwood X-Lite 272.

You'll need to jack up the other side of your trailer and measure one of the non-broken leaf springs from center to center of the mounting bolts, while making sure no weight is on the spring.

With that we can confirm which spring is correct for your trailer, though you'll want to replace both springs for that particular axle as they should always be replaced in pairs to prevent handling issues with the trailer.

Based on what I can find for your trailer it should have 3,500lb axles, so assuming that's the case a common leaf spring size would be the 25-1/8" # e54SR.

Once I get this measurement from you I can recommend all of the parts you'll need to get your trailer back together as well.
