The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11474 is our only receiver confirmed to fit on your 2012 Volkswagen Jetta TDI Sedan. This is a class I receiver with a 1-1/4" opening.
I recommend installing the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118572 when you install the receiver. This will give you a 4-way flat connector for operating the lights on most small trailers. It will also allow you to use Auxiliary Lights # C53201 with any hitch mounted accessory which impairs the view of the tail lights on your Jetta.
