Features to know about

Keeps Your Trailer Level: 2-3/4" Rise for a Balanced Tow

A level trailer makes a big difference in how your rig handles. The Curt Class II Euro Style Drawbar gives you a 2-3/4" rise from the top of the shank to the center of the ball, keeping smaller trailers even and stable behind you. With its fixed-rise design, there’s no guesswork—just a consistent height every time you tow.

Built Strong for Everyday Loads: 3,500 lbs GTW Rating

When you’re hauling a small camper, boat, or utility trailer, dependable strength matters. This drawbar is rated for 3,500 lbs gross towing weight and 350 lbs tongue weight, giving you enough capacity for most Class II setups. The solid steel construction is CNC-machined for consistent welds and tight tolerances that handle routine use without flexing.

No More Loose Hardware: Permanently Mounted 2" Ball

Instead of dealing with bolts or swapping hitch balls, this design keeps things simple with a permanently attached, chrome-plated 2" ball. The one-piece build means fewer parts to maintain and no risk of the ball working loose mid-tow. It’s an easy way to hitch up quickly and know everything’s secure.

Resists Rust and Road Grime: Durable Powder Coat Finish

Every tow setup faces rain, salt, and grime, but this drawbar’s corrosion-resistant design helps it stay clean longer. The chrome-plated ball and carbide black powder coat finish on the shank hold up well through repeated use and bad weather. The 7-stage washing process before coating ensures a smooth surface that stays looking sharp over time.

Straightforward Setup: Fits 1-1/4" Hitch Receivers

This drawbar slides right into standard 1-1/4" trailer hitch receivers with a total length of 9-3/4" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball. Just add your own hitch pin and clip or lock (sold separately), and it’s ready to go—no adjustments or extra parts required.

The order was received, and it's perfect. I especially like the euro style hitch, fits right in with my VW and our custom trailer, that we tow about to car shows!

by:

It does not come with a pin. This is fine, I bought one very inexpensively (from a different seller) - I really wish I had known there is no pin included. I would not have had to wait to get it from another seller to use my hitch. Please put a simple line of text in the description that says "hitch pin not included" - easy fix...

The drawbar looks fine and as advertised. The first attempt to deliver resulted in an empty box showing up on my doorstep. The bar fell out in transit due to a rip in the box. Probably because the box gets tossed around during shipping. They pleasantly provided a replacement but it was packaged the same and I noticed TWO holes in this box that looked to be from the same sort of situation. Fortunately the bar didn't fall out this time. Anyway, you would think a trailer business would know how to pack up their products! ??

This worked out to be the perfect ball and mount for my purpose- occasionally having to use my car to tow my utility trailer. I got this and the DrawTite receiver hitch for my '99 Monte Carlo and everything went together in less time than the estimated time that had been shown. Very happy with both purchases!

Great product. Fit and finish is excellent.
I've
mounted the Curt 1 1/4" hitch to my 2007 Mazdaspeed3.
Taking the rear bumper off, which only took 30 minutes (maybe a few minutes more than that) made it very easy to attach the Curt hitch to the car.
I wanted to compliment the Mazdaspeed3's overall appearance, so, I decided to go with the Curt euro ball mount 11 3/4" .
Very pleased with the outcome.

Great Product! After installing a Curt (C11184) Hitch on my '08 BMW 135i convertible, I needed a drawbar and ball. I really liked the elegant design and one piece simplicity that this one has. It is very sturdy and the dimension measurements were accurate. The whole reason I got it was to trailer my new (old) wood boat home from the barn I found it in. Once the hitch was on and the (56146KIT) Wiring kit was installed. This drawbar slid right in. Thanks to the accurate measurements the trailer sat at the perfect height the first time.

by:

It arrived in a thin bubble mailer. The stickers were smashed in places from impacts. The dowel in the side of the ball sticks out 1/32 inch; it may cut into your trailer coupler. The dimensions listed on the etrailer website and the manufacturer website are both incorrect. I measured it myself and the curt 45572 has a pin-center to ball-center length of about 7 and 3/8 inches. The dimension from the top of the receiver to the top of the ball is about 5 and 3/8 inches. For reference, a standard ball is 2.75 inches, so this product has the equivalent of a 2 and 5/8 inch rise. I give it a one star because it was advertised incorrectly; it will probably work fine.

by:

works with great with hitch and stows e asily

by:

quality item, good price, fast shipping

by:

It was available for exactly the rise needed for our GO trailer. No issues, clean look and hangs tough. Nice choice for a sleeker look.

by:

It was easy to install the product to our hitch so that it will make it easier to place our trailer in the area we need to.

by:

This drawbar is a perfect fit for my vehicle. Feels very sturdy with a high quality look and feel. Wanted something that was one piece instead of separate parts that needed assembly and this is the one. Thanks etrailer for great communication and speedy delivery.

by:

I like that this design keeps trailers level rather than pitched forward for my 2007 Subaru Forester. Seems incredibly strong because of its weight and being one piece.

by:

Worked with Madeline at Etrailer for a bar and wiring harness fir a LS460
She did the research and took the time to get me the right parts for my vehicle
Outstanding service and pride in their products
Will only shop here for all trailer needs

by:

Just received it and haven't made any long trips with it yet, but it fits very snugly into my OEM Subaru receiver and the pin fits very snugly through both, so already I'm anticipating a much more quiet and rattle-free experience than I've had with the Curt & DrawTite equipment on my other vehicles.

Will follow up this review with any substantial information.

by:

Very good quality item. Although I needed to buy a hitch adaptor as I have a 2" hitch. I'm using this with a European bike rack so I don't need the towing capabilities though.

by:

Solid, heavy as heck. Bought this model because 1) I only have 1 lightweight trailer (Malone xtralight, also purchased from etrailer at the same time) and it’s light weight. 2) I am stuffing this into an adaptor also bought from etrailer to further stuff into a receiver also purchased from etrailer. 3) All this is on the back of my 2018 Subaru Outback. Beings that it’s a Subaru it’s not going to be used to drag a huge or heavy trailer. I’ll repeat this part in my review of the adapter, buy probably from etrailer, a receiver lock that is sleeved, to be both 1/22 and 5/8 and long. That way if you don’t want this sticking way out the back (shin killer) you can use 1 lock and go all the way through receiver/ adapter/ and this ball mount. Otherwise buy you’ll need 2 locks 1 for receiver to adapter 5/8 and a second 1/22 to go through adapter into this unit.

A side benefit is it’s just different. It’s not an everyday boring looking ball mount, it’s heavy duty so why not.

by:

It is heavy duty and well-built. I am not disappointed at all and I get comments everyone smile from people who are used to traveling overseas asking where I got the European style hitch from. The only downside is the lack of interchangeability in the size of the ball itself but I don’t think that’s a big deal because I set it up for what I need it for and keep a vehicle vehicle for longer periods of time.

Still looks great and works perfectly. It may have the disadvantage of not having interchangeable balls but Let’s be honest, once you’ve used it for a year regularly it’s going to be corroded enough you’re not gonna want to change it out anyway so having multiple sizes of them sitting around and not having to change the ball mount is a better design anyway

by:

very well built! extremely sturdy and heavy duty

by:

Tested this on my one mower-hauling utility trailer and it worked as intended. Had to buy taller hitches because this and a 1 7/8 ball hitch were too low but as it is on the right vehicle these would be perfect.

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for Mini Clubman 2012
For a 2012 Mini Clubman the recommended hitch is the Curt # C11387 which is a confirmed custom fit. This also fits 2011 model. This hitch has a 2,000 lb towing capacity which you'd need to stay under that weight and the towing capacity for the vehicle listed in the owners manual. I attached an install video for this hitch as well. For a ball mount you'd want the part # C45552 and for trailer wiring part # C59236.

  • Can Hitch Ball Size Be Changed Out on Curt Euro Style Ball Mount
Thanks for reaching out, John! The Curt Class II Euro Style Drawbar # C45552 has a 2" hitch ball. The hitch ball is fixed and can't be removed so if you want this style and you need to be able to use both a 1-7/8" and 2" hitch ball you'll need to also get the part # C45551 so you have 2 different ball mounts. For an alternative solution I recommend pairing the Curt Class II Drawbar # C45521 with the Convert-A-Ball Interchangeable Ball Set # 802b which gives you a way to swap out the hitch...

  • Trailer Hitch For Towing a Jet Ski With a 2012 Toyota RAV4
Yes, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C12108 has been tested to be strong enough to tow 3,500lbs with 350lbs of that being tongue weight, which is plenty for a jet ski. This exceeds the rating on your 2012 Toyota RAV4. If you have the V6 your tow rating is 2,000lbs or with the Inline 4 you will be able to tow 1,500lbs. You will want to ensure that the jet ski and trailer with all the gear you will carry do not exceed the ratings given by Toyota. I recommend the Hopkins Plug-In Simple...

  • Recommended Ball Mount for a 2018 Infiniti Q50
The best ball mount for towing a jetski with your 2018 Infiniti Q50 is going to be the Curt Class II Euro Style Drawbar with 2" Ball item # C45552. A Euro-style drawbar is a one piece unit, with the trailer ball permanently welded to the drawbar. It will give you a 3-1/2" rise from the top of the shank to top of ball. This will be helpful considering how low to the ground the Curt Trailer Hitch item # C11407 sits. You will also need the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness item # C56248...

We currently do not carry any stainless steel or chrome ball mounts for the 1-1/4 inch receiver size. I recommend the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 1-1/4" Hitches - 2" Ball - 3/4" Rise - 3,500 lbs # C45147 or the euro ball style ball mount # C45552. Both of these give you a 2 inch hitch ball. • Choosing the Right Curt Class II Euro Style Ball Mount to Tow a Trailer Level
If you are measuring to the top of the coupler then I will have to ask for the measurement to the bottom of the coupler instead. I am willing to bet that the measurement to the bottom of the coupler will have you at just about level. That would make the best Curt Euro-style ball mount with a 2...
