Best Way to See a Small Trailer Behind Cargo Van Without Using a Camera
Updated 05/02/2023 | Published 04/29/2023 >
Question:
I have a small trailer that CANNOT be seen behind my cargo van by mirror. I can see it in the camera, but that doesnt help. My concern is backing up. Is there an item that I can attach to the back of the trailer that tips out, so that I can see that in the mirror, to be able to backup?

It sounds like you're wanting a controllable arm that extends out like what you might see on a school bus. I've never heard of anything like that but I do have an alternate solution with some universal towing mirrors:
- K-Source Universal Towing Mirrors # KS3891-2
These mirrors use straps to secure to most mirrors that are 4-1/2" to 11-1/2" tall and they extend your viewing area since they sit out further than your factory mirrors. These are great for the vast majority of trailer sizes out there.
If your trailer is super small and even extended mirrors won't work, your next best thing is going to be a camera since it can give you a direct view behind your van.
