Question:

I have a 2012 Toyota Tacoma. Looking to add a roof rack for kayaks. I am interested in this roof rack but do I need existing rack to attach? One of the rubber strips is missing as well.

Thanks for the picture! I can't tell if your 2012 Toyota Tacoma has the double, access, or regular cab so I am going to recommend parts that fit each.

If you just have the regular cab Tacoma you will need a couple of the Rhino-Rack ROC25 Roof Rack for Naked Roofs item # RR62VR. These are sold individually and mount inside your door frame for a secure fit. This system will give you a 165 lbs capacity.

If your 2012 Tacoma is an access cab or double cab you will need the following parts:
