Recommended 7-Way Connector for a 2022 Hyundai Tucson

On my 2022 Hyundai Tucson, I already have the 4 pole trailer hookup, I want to change it to a 7 pin plug and the trailer I’m buying will already have the brake controller attached. I just need the 7 pin adapter. Which one is recommended?

Since your 2022 Tucson already has a 4-way connector you will need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller item # ETBC7. The kit includes a pre-wired 7- and 4-way trailer connector that mounts easily at the rear of your Hyundai with an included bracket. This kit is designed for use on a vehicle with an existing 4-way flat trailer connector and plugs directly into it.

You will then connect the black wire to the positive post on the vehicle's battery, the white wire to ground, and the yellow wire to vehicle's reverse circuit if applicable. This will provide you with the ability to control your trailer's brakes and also provide you with a 12v power wire for you trailer's accessory lights.

Since the trailer you're buying already has a brake controller this is all you will need. I have linked an installation video below to help walk you through the steps. This is a universal harness there are no custom fit 7-ways for your Tucson.
