I have a 2011 F-150 Ecoboost 3.5 that tows fine until the weather starts to heat up. Then its a different story. From reading online the solution is an engine oil cooler.

Yes, adding an Derale Plate-Fin Engine Oil Cooler Kit # D15405 will greatly help to reduce engine oil temperatures. With your 2011 Ford F-150 having the 2 turbochargers they are transferring a lot of heat into the engine oil as that is what lubricates and cools the turbos. This cooler is much larger at 9-7/8" Wide x 9-1/2" tall than the factory cooler to reduce the engine oil temperature much better.
We also have the Derale Atomic-Cool Remote Engine Oil Cooler Kit w/ Fan # D15450 which is a much better option if you frequently tow in stop and go traffic conditions.
