Adding a transmission cooler will go a long way towards extending the life of your Chevrolet Suburban's transmission, especially if you tow often or if the weight of your trailer is up near the vehicle's limits. An engine oil cooler is also a great idea to reduce oil temperatures while the vehicle is towing and under stress. This will help to prolong the life of the engine as well as improve its overall performance.

In the two Derale combination oil/transmission fluid cooler kits # D15902 and # D15903 the actual cooler core part is the same, measuring 17" wide x 12-1/2" tall x 3/4" deep, but the difference between the kits is that part # D15903 is a GM-specific kit while the other is a universal kit with more parts to allow it to work in more applications. These extra component parts are the reason for the higher cost. For your Yukon you will use # D15903 along with Snap-In Radiator Adapter # D13035.

Since the Derale Combination Transmission and Engine Oil Cooler # D15902 is both a transmission and oil cooler it would need to take the place of the cooler that you have. However this will likely provide less transmission fluid cooling than your existing external cooler. What I recommend for your 2007 Silverado (New Body) with 6.0 liter motor is to just add a small oil cooler only so that you will get the maximum benefit of both coolers.

If you have enough room in front of your air conditioning condenser or in front of your radiator on your 2008 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 4WD, I would recommend the Derale Combination Transmission and Engine Oil Cooler, part # D15902. This is a combination transmission and engine oil cooler that will keep both engine and transmission temperatures cool with just one system. It measures 17 inches wide x 12-1/2 inches tall x 3/4 inch deep.
You will also need the Derale Snap-In Radiator Adapter,... view full answer...
Transmission cooler is definitely more important than an engine oil cooler. Most modern vehicles have cooling systems that are very efficient and an engine oil cooler is not needed at all. In some cases they actually will slightly lower oil pressure so they really aren't recommended. Transmission coolers do help a ton to preserve the life of a transmission so we recommend them highly. Basically you can't over cool transmission fluid and the cooler it stays the longer the transmission lasts.... view full answer...
The Derale Atomic-Cool Engine Oil Cooler Kit, # D15450, will fit the 5.3L engine in your 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche. The kit includes multiple sleeve nuts to fit the engine oil filter mount to mount the sandwich adapter in the kit.
However, installing the cooler and fan could be an issue that might give you the most trouble. The cooler will mount anywhere on your truck, but you will have to find the best location that will allow you enough room and hose length to install the cooler.

I have exactly what you will need to keep both the engine oil and transmission fluid cool in your 2013 Chevrolet Express Van 3500 but a remote cooler will not be necessary. Instead, I recommend using the Derale Combination Transmission and Engine Oil Cooler part # D15902. As long as you have at least 17" wide x 12-1/2" tall x 3/4" deep of space to mount the cooler behind your grille and in front of your radiator/condenser then it will work well for you. You can expect a drop in engine oil... view full answer...
Based on my research the 1998 Fleetwood Bounder M-36S Class A RV with the Ford 460 engine is based on the Ford F-53 chassis.
Coolers are not vehicle-speciofic; you can install as large a cooler as you have space to mount one. Coolers are also not fluid specific; the same cooler model can be used for engine oil and for transmission fluid or even power steering fluid.

I did some checking and it looks like the oil filter threads on your 2013 Ford Explorer with a 3.5 liter engine are M22x1.5 mm, so you are going to need an oil cooler that is compatible with this.
I would recommend you get the Derale Stacked-Plate Engine Oil Cooler Kit part # D15602. This kit comes with a compatible oil filter sandwich adapter so that it will work for you. This cooler is a stacked plate cooler, which of all the different styles of coolers this is the most efficient.

I looked in the owner's manual for your 2008 Chrysler Town & Country and the towing capacity can range anywhere from 1,000 to 3,800 lbs depending on how the vehicle is loaded/equipped. If you would like further information on your vehicle's towing capacity then I recommend taking a look at page 399 in your owner's manual. The trailer you choose cannot exceed the towing capacity of your vehicle.

I pulled up the dimensions of the oil filter on your 2006 Ford F150 with a 5.4 liter and you would be better off getting the Derale Plate-Fin Engine Oil Cooler kit part # D15405. The O-ring diameter of your filter will better match the adapter of this kit, this kit also has the thread adapter you need 22mm x 1.5mm and the cooler style of this kit is more efficient as it is a plate-fin style, whereas the # D15502 is a tube-fin style that has an o-ring adapter that would be too small.

The difference between the Derale Stacked-Plate Engine Oil Cooler Kit part # D15602 and part # D15605 is that the former comes with a 2-3/4" o-ring and the latter comes with both a 2-3/4" o-ring and a 3-1/2" o-ring. These o-rings are used to attach the sandwich adapter to the engine block (see photo). The 3-1/2" o-ring is only needed for 1963-2007 GM small block & big block V8 engines. view full answer...
On your 2001 Chevy Silverado, the o-ring diameter will either be 2-3/4 inches or 3-1/2 inches. Either way oil cooler kit # D15405 has both and will fit. It also comes with the proper filter thread size which will be 13/16-16, 18 mm x 1.5 mm, or 22 mm x 1.5 mm.

Derale's application guide lists the oil filter thread size for 2004-2014 Dodge/Chrysler vehicles as 22 x 1.5 mm. That size sleeve is included in the Derale Engine... view full answer...
Don't shoot the messenger but you cannot install components included with the factory tow package on a vehicle without the factory tow package to then obtain the tow package weight capacity. I know it might seem like you can but the manufacturer does not agree with this rationale unfortunately. The towing capacity of your 2017 Ford Explorer will remain unchanged through the life of the vehicle in the eyes of the manufacturer no what components are added.
With that being said, if you... view full answer...

For a remote mount transmission and oil cooler for your 2016 Ford F-150 I recommend a model that has its own fan such as # D15200. Models that do not have their own fan would have to be mounted where they can get air flow so they can't be remote mounted.
In addition to the cooler assembly # D15200 I also recommend oil cooler installation kit # D15752 and transmission cooler install kit # D13006. There aren't any special fittings that you would need for your 2016 Ford F-150. view full answer...

Diesel engines in general operate at higher temperatures than gasoline engines. Gas engines have a typical oil temp of 200 - 250 degrees F, while diesel engine temps can reach as much as 600 degrees (!) within the cylinders. Your 1.9L Volkswagen diesel can be fitted with an oil cooler, according to my contact at Derale, as long as its oil pump is in good shape.

When towing a trailer, the vehicle will be working twice as hard as opposed to normal driving conditions and even more so when climbing a hill. The added workload is going to cause a buildup of heat which would affect both performance and wear lift. If the vehicle is as you put "overheating" and you are within the towing capacity of your truck, there is a problem in the cooling/oiling system and you will need to take the vehicle to a shop to have it looked over. However, if the vehicle... view full answer...
