How to Wire Marker Light With Red and Black Wires

If i have a light with only a red and black wire, no white wire i want to use the light as the marker lights only, no blinker or brake lights. what do i connect the wires to on the wire harness of the trailer?

More than likely the red wire is for power and the black wire is the ground on your light. Assuming your trailer lights follow standard colors like on the # 16-4B-1, the red wire on your light will connect to the brown trailer wire which is for the running lights and the white wire is the ground. If you hook the light up and it doesn't work simply reverse it.
