This strut pole gives the MoonShade Original awning a tensioned edge when your anchor points are too close together. It lets you mount the awning on compact vehicles, rear doors, or other tight layouts and keeps the canopy shaped how it should be.
The strut pole comes into play when your anchor points sit too close together for the MoonShade Original awning to stay taut. It keeps that short edge straight and tensioned so you can mount the awning on compact vehicles, the rear doors of a van, or any setup where anchor spacing is limited. By giving the awning a rigid edge to pull against, it lets you get creative with where you mount the MoonShade and makes tight layouts usable instead of off-limits.
First, slide the pole through the center loop on the 7' side, then seat each end into the corner grommets. From there, secure the pole to your anchor points. You could fit the pole through large eyebolts or strap it to a platform rack, whatever works best for your setup. Once it's secure, you can set up the awning normally.

Hi everyone. Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at a replacement strut pole for the Moonshade original awning, that's seven foot long. So folks, again, this strut pole is seven foot long. It is a anodized aluminum construction, and as you can see, it has the elastic band inside of it. You just simply pop 'em out, like what you'd do with tent poles and stuff, right And then on both ends, you're gonna have this end point here.
And on the other side, same thing. And basically what this is gonna be, it's a durable, lightweight pole providing a stable horizontal mounting option. If you have vehicles that have narrow profiles and less than seven feet between your anchor points. So on the Moonshade, basically where you have your anchor points, if they're too close together and you're not able to utilize the Moonshade's built in carabiners, this will act as the stability in between, great for compact cars, SUVs, even in a tree. You can use it up on a tree.
And this connects the Moonshade canopy using the metal grommets at the corners along the short side of your Moonshade canopy. And then once it's attached, you simply secure the pole to a stable mounting point on your vehicle, like maybe a roof rack or something like that. So again, 84 inches long, seven feet long overall. It is black anodized aluminum, lightweight, easy to pack up whenever you're done. Folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our look at the strut pole for the Moonshade original awning.
I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
