Now, this slipper leaf spring is a key part of your trailer suspension system. This is designed to support a 2,000-pound trailer axle to help deliver a smoother, more stable ride. Now, this does include a nylon bushing with a 9/16 of an inch inner diameter. And you're going to need either pre-mounted hangers or an aftermarket hanger kit, which is obviously sold separately from the spring, to complete the installation. The spring's eye is going to connect to a hanger mounted on your trailer frame, while the slipper end is going to slide into a rear hanger or equalizer. This is built from durable steel, and this spring is gonna be tough enough to handle the road ahead. You are going to get this one leaf spring.
The individual capacity of the spring is 1,000 pounds, so paired with another spring on the other end of your trailer, that's where you're gonna get your 2,000-pound axle rating. And let me see if I can give you some measurements here. Try to make it as clear as I can. So I'm gonna be measuring from the center of the eye all the way to the end of the spring. So it looks like we're sitting right at 24 1/4 inches long from center of eye to the end of the spring.
And the width of the spring is 1 3/4 inches. The diameter of the eye without the bushing is gonna be 11/16 of an inch. Again, with the bushing, it's 9/16 of an inch. The bushing's included. The leaf thickness is 1/4 of an inch.
And again, you're gonna get four leaves here in the spring. And of course, to ensure proper axle alignment and suspension performance, leaf spring should always be replaced in pairs, and we do recommend insulation by a professional.
