Loading and unloading heavy gear gets simpler when the trailer deck sits lower. This axle’s 4" drop and underslung design—where the spring seats are welded to the underside—lowers the ride height so ramps are shallower and cargo stays steady. The 2-3/8" diameter round steel beam ties into your trailer’s suspension for a solid, level stance that makes towing more controlled.
Stopping power shouldn’t take extra work. The included electric brake assemblies bring consistent braking performance without the need for hydraulic lines. Each drum measures 10-15/16" in diameter by 2-11/16" wide and fits a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern. With pre-greased bearings, races, seals, and lug nuts already installed, everything is ready to bolt up and go.
The axle is made from high-strength steel with a 95" hub-face-to-hub-face length and 80" spring-center spacing. A slight bend in the beam creates a zero-camber angle so the tires keep even contact across the tread, which helps stability and tread life over long hauls. The 0.18" wall thickness gives it enough rigidity for steady tracking under full load.
Keeping bearings in shape is quick thanks to the built-in grease zerks on the spindles. Just attach a grease gun and push fresh grease through without disassembly. The hubs are pre-packed, and the grease cap flange measures 1.988", so you can check or service them easily when it’s time.
This axle assembly meets CSA, QAI, and SAE-N standards after thorough testing for braking and performance in real-world conditions. With everything welded, mounted, and aligned from the factory, it’s ready to replace a tired setup or anchor a fresh build with dependable, proven components.

Not only is it not what I ordered 2 of the TA cayman parts and pieces in the advertisement. It doesn't say anything about coming in parts and pieces. I'm not a mechanic. Now I have to pay somebody to put it together. I think that's very poor business

This axle will need to be welded onto the trailer and then the hubs with the brakes would be installed on the spindle. I do recommend having it professionally welded. We do have a FAQ that can help with installing the hubs and brakes.
Good product so far but no instructions at all
Everything was going great on my new axle install today, until it wasn't. You shiped me the wrong lock washers for the brake backing plate. The correct nuts but the washers are to small. I'll have to pick them up because the customer is expecting the with to be done be today.

fast shipping great pricing
Got it in all the pieces look great and shipping was fast. Originally said that I would receive it on Tues the 15th and actually got it on Sat the 12th.
Product was exactly what I was after and helps me too get trailer back to work faster.
The replacement axle is working very nicely. It is well engineered and quality’s is evident
Shipping was super fast. Price was right but it comes unassembled. I had a few of the brake pieces come off and had to put them back together.

Piece of cake to install. Pull out the old snapped axle install new axle. Bearings come pregreased.
I wish I could give negative stars. My order arrived on time, but it was the wrong axle. The axle I ordered and paid for was a 3500 lb drop axle with electric brakes, they sent a bare 3500 lb drop axle. $[XX] difference. I immediately contacted customer service who required pictures of what I received. When I supplied them, they did not respond and even removed my order from their website so I can't track it to see if they're trying to make this right. They won't answer emails either because Ive sent a few. I'll try to get my credit card to refund me since they won't respond.

Happy with the product, not happy that we paid for a fully dressed axle and it came in parts for us to put together.
I didn’t think to clarify, I expected this to be shipped as one ready to install assembly. What I received was multiple shipment and not quite all the parts. Customer service quickly resolved the missing items and assembly and install wasn’t terribly difficult so I’m not knocking the product. It is what I was sold.
Awful service. Ordered an axle they sent a hitch. Cancelled order cause they weren’t going send axle out till they picked up the hitch lol. They still haven’t picked up and won’t refund money till ups picks up. Look around I found an axle place close by 30 minutes away with axles in stock. I will never use etrailer again!!!!!

I am sorry to hear that this was not the correct axle set that you are needing. If you are needing an axle with no drop, I would recommend part # e52SR. This axle has most of the same specs as the axle you ordered, minus the drop. Let me get you over to our customer service department for them to look into what would best suite your needs.
