Can Mount N Lock SafetStruts Install on 2023 Grand Design Transcend 247BH

Question:

I have a 2023 Grand Design Transcend, 247BH. I want to install the Mount-n-Lock Safety Struts for Standard Bumper. I want to make sure Im looking at this correctly as it would seem it is only as strong as the weakest weld. The bumper is butt welded to a section of tube steel that is welded to the bottom chord of the I-beam frame. see example photos... Q: Do I need to reinforce the area where the tube steel is welded to the I-beam frame? Thank you in advance!!

That's a really good question but the best way to know if the bumper of your 2023 Grand Design Transcend 247BH would require reinforcing would be to check with Grand Design to determine if the bumper has a weight capacity for towing or if it's even rated for towing or not. If it's rated for towing it would be fine but if not you'd want to run the install of the Mount N Lock SafetyStruts # MO22FR by them and see what they think.
