Question:
Will this work on a 2018 Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works edition? It is a hardtop, 4-door. Also, will this accommodate a 2inch ball? I am looking for a hitch solution for a lightweight small tear trailer.

Yes, the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH87FR will fit on your 2018 Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works 4-door hardtop. You can pair this with the Curt Towing Starter Kit # C45147 which has a 2" hitch ball with 3/4" rise. We do have the Master Lock Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock and Coupler Lock Set # 3794DAT which will allow you to secure the ball mount and trailer coupler to your Mini. It will also allow you to secure your trailer when it is in storage.
You will need a Curt Powered Tail Light Converter # C59236 to install a 4-way flat trailer connector on your Mini. This is the most common connection used on small trailers to operate the tail lights on the trailer.

I am enjoying the [ EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 1-1/4" EH87FR ] purchased and installed in June this year. One problem I could not solve is to use the hitch lock that came with the bike rack. The hitch resides above the two exhausts of the car, and I find the limited space around the hitch makes it impossible to push the lock's steel stem through the hole. Is there any solution you can suggest?
