Are There RV Cameras Compatible With The GM Infotainment System

Question:

I have a 2022 Alliance Paradigm 5th wheel and a 2023 GMC Sierra 2500 HD truck. The Alliance comes prewired for a backup camera. The GMC has a wired connection plug for a camera that connects to the infotainment system. Will thisVoyager RV backup camera #VGR84VR work with my equipment and give me an image on my trucks screen?

No, the only cameras that we currently have confirmed to work with a GMC Infotainment system are the cameras made by GM. You'll also need to check exactly which brand your 2022 Alliance Paradigm 5th wheel is prewired for. If you have a "shark fin" mount or a cover with "Furrion" on it then only a Furrion branded camera will work with the prewiring. If you have a cover with "Voyager" or "Jensen" on it then you would want to use a Voyager system.

For Furrion you'll need the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System - 4.3" Screen # FOS43TASF. There's also a 5" monitor # FOS05TASF and 7" monitor # FOS07TASF, which will allow you add on additional cameras or the # FCE48TASL-07, which comes with side cameras included.

For Voyager you'll need the Voyager WiSight 2.0 Wireless Backup Camera System - 4.3" Screen # ASA24YR or # ASA37YR for a larger 7" monitor.

Is there a system that works with the GMC camera's since the GMC infotainment system doesn't work 95% of the time with the remote plug in cameras? I have two trailers with the GMC cameras and neither work with my 2024 but they all worked on my 2022.

@Jon We don't offer any systems that would be compatible with GM's cameras and I don't know of any others that would be compatible aside from more GM branded systems. The cameras you have should connect to your 2024 model though so I would check your calibration settings to see if you can reset the connection. If not I would reach out to GM and see if there's maybe a software update that you need to get everything back in working order.
