Can Latch Repair Kit for Bulldog Wedge-Latch Cast Head Coupler - 2 Ball - 8,000 lb Item # F660801 replace Lippert 678750 2 Repair Kit, Old Style? IF NOT WHY?

I do have an option for you but latch repair kits are coupler specific and there are very few out there. Furthermore, the Lippert 2" Latch Coupler Repair Kit 678750 is no longer available and I know this isn't what you want to hear but the only option we can offer is a new coupler. I recommend the Demco Cast Head Coupler part # DM37ZR since it just bolts on so all you'll have to do is cut the old one off but there is no welding required.

Unfortunately, we cannot advise on retrofitting a coupler repair kit onto a coupler it's not designed for.

To replace the Atwood 88555 coupler, I recommend Bulldog Heavy-Duty Cast Head Coupler w/ Wedge Latch part #BD43805W0317 which is a weld-on option rated for 8,000 lbs and takes a 2" ball.

Hey Rylan, I checked with Demco for you, and the Demco A-Frame Cast Head Coupler #DM37ZR will need Grade 5 hex bolts for installation. We don't have these but they can be found at any local hardware store.
