Is Cantilever Higher Than Thule TracRac Crossbars on Truck Bed

Question:

Reviews on the Thule site state that the level of the cantilever is 1 1/2” higher than the rack itself. In your installation and review videos there does not seem to be a height difference. Has Thule redesigned it or is it just the angle in the videos?

It looks like there is a bit of a gap between the forwardmost crossbar and the Cantilever Extension # TH24001XT when it's installed. Thule states that the forwardmost bar isn't needed and the load can be secured by the rear crossbar and Cantilever as long as you aren't exceeding the 1,000 lb capacity of the Cantilever.

Attached is a review video as well as a photo where I point out where some daylight is in the photo for you to see that gap. This definitely looks more like an angle thing at first glance.
