I own a 2019 Dodge Charger RT. Double muffler I have since become disabled and in need of a mobility scooter. I went to my hometown U-Haul dealer and even showed him the back of car. He said no problem in installation. A week later at my appointment the with mechanic he said it couldnt be done. Meanwhile I bought a 2,200.00 scooter, a180.00cargo

I checked with Draw-Tite and I can confirm that the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch item # 76145 does fit the RT model of the 2019 Dodge Charger. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Dodge with included hardware. This is the only hitch available that will fit the RT model of your vehicle and give you the needed capacity.
I took a look at the instructions. The exhaust system has to be completely lowered to install the hitch. The attachment points are behind the mufflers. This will require your installer to have the means to lift your car a minimum of 20" off of the ground.
I recommend finding a different mechanic. If you go to the product page of the item # 76145 hitch, and go down below the pictures and installation video on the left, you will find a blue link on the left that says Locate installers near me. If you put your zip code in there you will find a list of reputable installers in your area that belong to our network of service departments.
The Draw Tite item # 76145 is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 4,500 lbs towing capacity, and a 675 lbs maximum tongue weight. If you need power to your carrier I recommend the Tekonsha item # 118655.
