Tonneau Cover and Ladder Rack Recommendation For a 2023 Toyota Tundra 5-1/2 Foot Bed

Can I install rails on top of my bed if I have this installed? I like the idea of adding a low profile rack system in the future but currently I'm needing a tonneau cover and I really like the looks of this one. I have a 2023 Tundra with a 5-1/2' bed.

We do have a rail system included with a tonneau cover that fits your 2023 Toyota Tundra with the 5-1/2' bed. For your application I recommend going with the RetraxONE XR Hard Tonneau Cover # RTX97XR which is a matte black retractable cover that comes with rails that have T-Slots in them. The T-Slots will allow you to then install a ladder rack system - any standard covers cover up the places where the ladder rack needs to install which is why you have to go with the T-Slot rails.
If you end up wanting to add a ladder rack to this system I recommend going with the Yakima OverHaul HD # Y01151-5855 because it has adjustable height and a variety of accessories that make it easier to use for work and play.
