The flush design keeps the crossbars tight to the roofline so nothing sticks out past the legs. It gives the rack a clean, from-the-factory look that blends right in with your vehicle’s roof. The bars are custom cut to the exact width needed, so there’s no adjustment or uneven edges—just a sleek setup that looks like it belongs there.

Driving with roof bars can mean a constant whistle on the highway, but these quiet Vortex Aero crossbars are shaped to fight that. Their slim, elliptical aluminum profile cuts through the air smoothly, while the rubberized Vortex strips break up airflow to keep wind noise and drag low. The strips also block dirt and provide a grippy, cushioned surface for your cargo.

You don’t want to worry about your rack flexing under load. These structural-grade anodized aluminum bars use an internal H-shaped extrusion for extra strength without adding weight. Together with the UV-treated, glass-reinforced nylon legs, the system handles up to 220 lbs (always follow your vehicle’s roof limit). The materials are rustproof and weather resistant, so they can stay on year-round.

Whether it’s kayaks in summer or skis in winter, this rack handles it all. Each bar has a built-in C-channel for mounting channel-style carriers and accessories. You can also attach clamp-on gear if you prefer that type of mount. The split Vortex strips make accessory installs simple—just remove and reinsert sections around your mounts to keep the channels sealed, quiet, and clean.

Each leg includes locking covers that secure both the rack and your mounted accessories. The locks are keyed alike so one key handles every cover. With everything locked in place, you get peace of mind when you park at trailheads or overnight stops knowing your setup is protected.

Finally finished my Rhino-rack roof rack install on my 2022 Hyundai Kona. I had problems understanding confusing directions and found out after calling and sending a video that there were wedges missing from my original shipment. I thought the bolts were too long only because pieces were missing. I thank Wayne from customer service for helping me figure this out and shipping them out next day air. I am happy with the install and they are sturdy and high quality. Just think they should make directions easier to understand. Happy customer just in time as we are planning a vacation starting tomorrow night to the beach! Good job etrailer.com!
top quality materials, instructions could have been a little more detailed but it was pretty easy to assemble/install otherwise. I wish Rino-Rack have a silver/brush aluminum version instead of only black (the box actually shows a silver rack). Haven't driven with the racks installed yet so I don't know how quiet they are. I have a set of Thule Aero bars that are whisper quiet so I'm hoping these are the same. I would recommend.....
I purchased a Rhino Rack RVP Roof Rack (RRRVP27) for my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit. The product installation was straightforward and the crossbars have a sleek finished look. I use the crossbars in conjunction with two Thule Sidearm 594XT bicycle racks and the setup works great.
I appreciate that the product blends in nicely with the look of the vehicle as the crossbars do not extend past the roof line and that security locks are included with the system.
One drawback is that the crossbars, which are designed to be whisper quiet, whistle while driving. I have a panoramic sunroof which may be a contributing factor to the increased noise levels and this may vary with a traditional roof.
Rack is solid, attractive, and well made. The "rack kit" comprises three separate kits; the base kit which includes the brackets and hardware that attach to the oem rails on the vehicle, the feet kit which attach to the crossbars to allow the crossbars to attach to the base rail brackets. Consequently, I found the printed instructions lacking in content and continuity (more on that later), but overall the install is reasonably straight forward and intuitive.
As someone with arthritic thumbs I found inserting the mounting screws and attaching the rubber skirts to the base rail brackets, along with insertion of the rubber strips into the crossbars to be somewhat of a challenge. In addition, the feet kit was short on mounting hardware and the hex-head cap screws supplied were not desirable for mounting feet to base brackets so I sourced replacement hardware locally.
Back to content and continuity of written instructions. No mention that crossbars were location specific and cut too different lengths and can be distressing if you don't think to check fit at the start of installation.
Otherwise, the rack looks good and is solid on the roof. I have not noticed any appreciable increase of wind noise before/after rack install and would not hesitate to recommend to a friend.
P.S. Jesse and the folks at etrailer were great to work with/answer questions.
Great product! Needs better instructions. Rather than trying to picture the very small torx screw head in figure 8, show leader lines from the screw to the correct bracket holes to be used. Otherwise, I'm quite happy with these cross bars.
Great customer service great prices easy to install. I really, really love it.
I got this roof rack for transporting my canoe on my 2012 CRV - the roof rack installs very easily and didn't take much time to put together. It goes on/off the car easily, so I can take the bars off when I don't need them. I don't notice much noise or difference in driving quality with the bars on vs off.
Outstanding communication following purchase. Quick shipment, highly recommend using this company.
Recieved order with missing part. The missing part was re-sent fast with no hassle.
These have been perfect. No issues what soever.
Its a Christmas present so I can't show a picture of it installed but your website was extremely easy to maneuver around and find what I was looking for. PLUS you kept your promise of date of delivery. It these trying times that means a lot! Thank you, I will use your website again! Have a nice holiday season.
Received two different sized bars, neither of which fit my vehicle
Fits well, looks good, does the job. One star off for a little bit of whistling noise.
Perfect fit. Solid attachment to existing roof rails
Received what I thought was a new kit. All the box’s were open and the cross bars had scratches. With the base kit, there were x3 top pad, not x4, and x5 bottom pad. It appears that the kit that was shipped was not even a full open kit, but a kit that was frankensteined from other open, incomplete kits.

Sorry about this experience. Customer Service will reach out to you.
Installation was easy and the rack seems very secure. It has plenty of clearance for the panoramic sunroof on my 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe.
Eventually got it lined up and fitting but took a few tricks. Looks real good on the Santa Fe once we got it set. Very solid and noise is minimal I really like the low profile. I Recommend the Rhino Rack and etrailer got it to me 2 days earlier than expect which turned out to be a real help to my time line.
I fitted them on my 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe.These cross bars came cut to size (the front and back are different lengths) and have a higher load rating than the cross bars that the Hyundai dealer wanted to sell us. The Rhino Rack website has instructions that suggest not to remove the nuts that hold the roof rail to the roof of the Santa Fe. However, there was less than a quarter inch of thread above the nuts so I decided to remove them. This then required that I buy longer M6x1 hex unions to connect the roof bar bolts to, which was not a problem because they are easily available online. I'm very happy with the finished product. Thank you e-Trailer.
Nice looking and very functional, but a significant increase in wind noise if your car is newer (quieter cabin). If they were easier to take on and off, I'd keep them off other than when needed, but too much hassle to take on and off. Overall, I'm satisfied but wish they didn't create so much wind noise and were easier on and off the rails.
Was thinking 5 stars but now I hear a whistling noise coming from the rack, which is not cool. I'll check on that and revise if it gets better (or worse). It definitely fits on a panoramic roof without issue. It was really easy to install on my 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe. The only caution I'd have is to make sure to use the small diameter washers that were supplied. Otherwise you won't be able to get the locking cover on. Otherwise it wad an easy install.
Installation was straightforward and I feel stronger than the factory crossbars which clamp on, as these cross bars screw into the connect points for the rails. These rails are also flatter than the factory installed rails. But are not perfectly flat. Roof-mounted bike racks may still lean a little bit. Which what I was trying to solve by replacing the factory cross rails/bars.

I am happy to help with the fitment of the roof rack. I would like to ask if your 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe has the factory flush mounted rails that run front to back? The bars for the rack are going to be different lengths. the front bar is going to be 38 inches long and the rear bar will be 36.375 inches long. Would you be able to send a picture showing how they are fitting on the roof?
