How to Install etrailer Trailer Hitch on a 2020 Acura RDX with Broken Internal Weld Nut

Question:

I tried putting the hitch on and the nut in the chassis broke. What can I do to support the hitch is there some kind of bolt I can use let me know thanks

I'm sorry to hear about the troubles you're having installing the hardware. For your application you'll need to have a shop help you out with a solution because of the OEM internal weld nuts that the hardware connects to. You can have them either find a way to use matching nuts on the inside of the frame or they will need to weld the hitch to the frame of your vehicle. If your hitch installed using nuts and bolts that were supplied with the hitch it would be a much simpler replacement of the hardware.
