Will Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller Fit a 2017 Chevy Express Van

I have a 2017 chevy express 3500 LWB with the factory tow package have the brake controller wires under floor mat behind brake pedal and i was wondering why your site says the Redarc tow pro liberty with universal harness Item # RED52VR will not work? Even though your site has an install video on a 2022 express van.

The Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED52VR will work just fine for your 2017 Chevy Express Van. You'll just need to splice the wiring from the controller to the following functions:

Blue - 7-Way Output to Trailer
Black - 12V Power
White - Ground
Red - COLD Side of Stop Light Switch (only gets hot when brake pedal is pressed)

The wire that runs from the control box to the control dial is a standard ethernet cord so if you need that longer (since your wiring is under your driver's seat) you can just get an ethernet cord that's long enough for your application.
