Conventional Ramp Door Spring for 95 Pound Ramp Door

Question:
I see that you have Torsion spring kits for 80 lb and 120 lbs doors. My door is 95 lbs. Which kit do I choose? Will the 120 lb spring have a tendency to lift the door when fully open or be will it be harder to operate and pull open? Will the 80lb kit be too weak and fail quicker or let the door ? Thanks for your assistance. 362SA7218 M374FR

You want the Conventional Ramp Door Spring # 362SA7218 for your trailer with a 95 lb door. It is always best to go on the high side for the capacity so you know the spring can handle the weight of the door. With a 120 lb capacity you won't have the door shutting or lifting on its own, and it won't be difficult to operate. This would only become a potential problem if the capacity of the spring was significantly higher than the door weight.
