I see there is some fascia trimming to install the curt hitch on my 2023 nissan pathfinder? can you tell me how big the trimming needed is? this is under the bumper right?

Correct, the fascia trimming is under the bumper on your 2023 Nissan Pathfinder so it won't be noticeable at all for the installation of the Curt hitch that fits your vehicle. The correct part number for that hitch is the following:
- Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C46DR
I have added a cut out showing the exact trimming needed on your '23 Pathfinder when installing the # C46DR, and as you can see it's a small 4-1/4" x 2-1/2" section, which you can easily trim with a utility knife.
