Blue Ox Base Plate Kit Fitment for a 2007 Lexus GX 470

Question:

Just got a Lexus GX 470 2007 (without the tow hooks or guard) and looking for a base plate kit to match with my Blue Ox tow bar. I have everything else I need for towing the vehicle I just need the base plates.

It looks like you're needing the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX2908 for your 2007 Lexus GX 470. This comes with the removeable tabs so when you aren't towing you have a nice, clean look.

I recommend checking your owner's manual for any specifications when it comes to prepping your vehicle for flat towing.

Same car, 2007 gx470, but Roadmaster tow kit needed. I assume the removable inserts come in Blue Ox or Roadmaster versions.

@Richard The only base plate kit that fits your GX470 is the Blue Ox kit referenced above. If you already have a Roadmaster setup you can still use it with this base plate kit if you use the Roadmaster and Demco Tow Bar Adapter Brackets # BX88151.

@JonG Thanks, I just installed a e-trailer tow base on my Tahoe, looks like the removable attachment pins, (roadmaster configured) would interchange with the Blue Ox pins on this unit. Correct?

@Richard You can try, but we've been told by both Roadmaster and Blue Ox that those pins are incompatible with each other which is why I recommended that adapter kit. I also see that you purchased a Roadmaster base plate kit. What tow bar do you have? I just want to make sure I tell you the correct parts.
