Features to know about

Smoother Ride Over Rough Roads: Rubber Cushions Absorb Shock

Factory steel equalizers transfer every bump and jolt straight through the trailer. These MORryde 14-3/4" rubber equalizers soak up the impact instead. The built-in rubber inserts compress to absorb vibration and chucking, keeping the ride smoother and protecting the frame and your cargo from the constant pounding of rough pavement or campground washboards.

Side-by-side comparison of MORryde rubber equalizer and standard steel equalizer for tandem axle trailer suspension upgrades.

Better Suspension Travel for Uneven Terrain: Up to 3" of Movement

When one side of the trailer drops into a pothole or rut, the suspension needs room to react. These equalizers give you up to 3" of up-and-down travel so the wheels can move independently and keep the trailer level. It helps the tires stay planted and takes the harsh edge off sudden dips or bumps, making towing more controlled on uneven roads.

Built for Heavy Loads: Handles Up to 8,000 lbs per Axle

Strength is built into the design. Each equalizer is rated for axle capacities up to 8,000 lbs and measures 14-3/4" from outer bolt hole to outer bolt hole. With 9/16" bolt holes and a 3-1/4" height from shackle to hanger, the geometry fits standard double-eye leaf spring setups on tandem axles with a 42" wheelbase. The solid construction keeps suspension movement consistent under heavy or constant use.

Maintenance Made Simple: Bolt-On Upgrade with Long Life

Installation is straightforward—remove the old steel equalizers and bolt these in their place. The rubber design needs less upkeep than systems that rely on air bags or extra fittings. For a complete upgrade, pair them with MORryde’s heavy-duty shackle and wet bolt kit (sold separately) to add greasable bolts and bronze bushings for even longer life.

MORryde suspension upgrade kit featuring heavy-duty shackle links, wet bolts, and bronze bushings for tandem axle trailers.

Reliable Performance That Lasts

With a 2-year or 45,000-mile warranty and durable rubber-steel build, these shock absorbing equalizers provide lasting comfort and protection. They turn a harsh, bouncy tow into a steady, confident pull that keeps everything riding smoother from start to finish.

Feels beefy! One side installed the day it arrived and I’ll get to the other side this weekend. I don’t know yet how towing will feel, but I did have a trailer with a cushion equalizer prior to my current Jayco White Hawk. The wide stance of the axles on the White Hawk already has less chucking. I’ll try and update in April once camping season starts again.

by:

Nice product, easy install, worst part is jacking up the trailer!

by:

Should have done this upgrade when I first got my camper in 2018. Keystone 2400BH. Rides so much better.

by:

Easy installation and a great ride.

by:

Seems like a quality product

by:

These are a super upgrade over the cheap nylon bushings that came with the trailer. These are very heavy duty and built to last.

by:

Installation was easier than expected because your staff helped me make sure I was ordering the right part for my trailer and it fit perfectly.

Well built product

Thank you Chris for your assistance getting the correct part.

by:

After 1 year and several trips…awesome!!! However I also installed a”wet” bolt kit and shocks…. W-H-A-T a difference!!! All from etrailer. All trailers should come like this!! 2021 271RL Salem Hemisphere

by:

Very happy with the quality and fit of these new equalizers! Very easy install with the proper tools. Always be safe one jacking and blocking your trailer!

by:

I just got these today, so far much improved over what I got from Amazon! BRAND NEW, not a return item from someone who improperly installed them! They even have instructions, I’ll let you know how the install goes. I like the service from etrailer.

Can't wait to hear your follow up once you get the equalizers installed and take the trailer out for a spin, Roy!

by:

Everything went together. I had most of the parts. I needed the only problem. I ran into was not having enough u bolts to do both axles. I had to buy a second set from Napa. I do say I only ordered for 1 axle. I sorta think the experts should've caught that. And informed me, I needed to order one more set. Other than that everything, what very good installed with relatively easy being partly disabled, only took me six hours on one side.

by:

Best equalizers out there. Going over uneven pavement or bumps is a breeze. Inside of the trailer, nothing really moves or bounces around anymore.
Highly recommended to get the morryde wet-bolt kit for this. The old bolts and collars were in bad shape.
The brass collars are so much better than the plastic ones that were in my stock system. See some pics of before during and after

by:

After speaking to a sales representative with the usual Etrailer charm and knowledge, I ordered the Morryde shock absorbing equalizers. The construction was good and the instructions were clear. The only real problem I had was in getting the old units off. My air wrench would not move those lock nuts until I applied heat to each one and then hit them with the wrench. We put a couple hundred miles on the trailer this weekend on some very rough highway. The improvement in ride was noticeable with less stuff thrown around inside. I would recommend this product.

@Keith That is fantastic to hear Keith! MORyde does a great job at upgraded the suspension making a better ride. What kind of trailer did you replace these on?

by:

I have not towed with it yet. But the installation went pretty smooth. I also installed the Morryde shackle kit. Everything looks heavy duty. The only thing is that 4 of the wet bolts were too long. I had to add 1/2 inch thick heavy duty washers to pull the Splined end of the bolts in. Shipping was good as always.

Since, I added the Morryde suspension. I also bought new leaf springs. It’s a night and day difference. We just travel from Massachusetts to Myrtle Beach and back. No more trailer sway. I actually had to take tension off my sway bars. It’s a must upgrade. Unfortunately them make everything on these travel trailers so cheep. It’s worth the upgrade.

by:

Installation was simple and straightforward on my Jayco 29re TT. I added the heavy duty shackles with the wet bolts which was also a simple installation. All in all the products preformed as advertised. What a much more smoother ride than in past. Just remember follow the instructions and use proper safety jack stands and wheel chocks!!

So far this was easy to do myself, I replaced Leaf springs, Equalizer and shackle bolts with wet bolts, my kit had 4 bolts to long so I had to get some from a local place. But it came apart pretty easily and when back together almost as easy.I have a 2012 coachmen 281rlds it has the 42 inch spread axles, etrailer got me every thing I need, and Morryde told me what I needed, thank's everyone.

Much better than the stock suspension. Things don’t bounce around as much inside the trailer. Almost seems like the trailer is slipping down the road. One of the best additions I made to my trailer.

The reason I decided to upgrade to the MORyde system is because the previous owner had a catastrophic failure after 1 year. One of the axle springs and axles collapsed and destroyed the suspension. The tires dug into the exterior of the floor and penetrated the fabric and styrofoam insulation. I used Henrys to seal up the styrofoam and covered the area with a piece of plywood and drilled a hole in it and shot it with expanding foam. Then I painted it and it looks like a pro.

Finally had the opportunity to install the springs, equalizers and wet bolt kit. Installation was routine, and nothing over the top. Having two jacks helps a lot, and making sure that your trailer is safely raised is a must. I used four jacks and two floor jacks and one hydraulic jack to secure my trailer. Once the trailer was raised and secure I removed the tires and began to take everything apart. I worked bolt to bolt and it took 90 minutes to complete the first side and 45 minutes to complete the second side. Once it was installed and torqued I lubed it up. Then I connected the truck and took it for a test drive. As I pulled away my wife called me and said, "I was so quiet." No creaking and crackeling. I took it for a short 5 mile ride and it was super smooth. When I got home I did a quick visual inspection and retorqued the bolts. Everything stayed in place and everything was still torqued to specs. Another thing I noticed was the wheels/tires no longer sat inside the fenders. They had about another 1.5 to 2.0 inches of clearance.

All in all I'd do this again without hesitation. This is going to give me the confidence to take longer trips, and not worry about every little noise I hear as I move on down the road.

E Trailer helped me make the right choice. Best $500 I’ve spent on this box.

Wow, that’s a journey right there. Really glad to hear you got everything back together and riding smooth again after all that. Sounds like you handled that repair like a pro too. That fix on the floor and insulation is some serious DIY work, and then knocking out the suspension upgrade in your driveway like that is impressive. I had to laugh at your wife calling to say how quiet it was, that’s when you know you nailed it! Really appreciate you sharing all that detail, it’s super helpful for others thinking about doing the same upgrade. What kind of trailer are you running? I love the photos!

  • How do I Determine when My Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers Needs to be Changed?
Hello Kenneth, Great question! You’re looking at this the right way. With the EquaFlex, it’s not just about how the rubber looks, it’s about whether it’s still doing its job. That rubber core should stay slightly compressed at normal ride height and only flex when the suspension moves. If you’re seeing a noticeable gap when it’s unloaded, it usually means the rubber has taken a set and isn’t working like it should anymore. A gap around 3/8 inch on each arm is getting into the worn range....
