It does look like your 1999 Starcraft Travelstar 17CK has a Dexter Torflex Axle so the correct Torflex Lift Kit is part # K71-707-01 which is designed for a 2,300 to 4,000-lb axle.

How about the 2000 Starcrat Travelstar 17CK? I bought it used and it has passenger car tires on it. The tires are rated load capacity is 2336 for the pair, while the trailer is 2151 dry weight and a GVWR of 3250. So I am going to need new tires. Is there a difference in passenger car and trailer rims? The rims are 14x5.5J rated at 1900lbs with no offset. Other markings include DOT-T, SR WHEELS and SR005B. If I need new rims as well I'm wondering that with a lift kit if I could get 215/75R15's under it. That way the wheels on my cargo trailer will also fit. Another reason for lifting it is that the black tank drain pipe seems really low about 3.5" from the ground. That would take care of 3 birds with one stone.

@Jimm There isn't a major difference from vehicle to trailer wheels, but trailer wheels aren't tested up to vehicle standards so you can't use them on a passenger vehicle. Trailer tires do have a major difference from vehicle tires though. Trailer tires are designed with thicker sidewalls to bear heavier loads, whereas vehicle tires are designed for a comfortable ride quality. Essentially it's best to not mix and match to avoid any issues. To lift the trailer you'll need to see if it has torsion axles or a leaf spring suspension. If it has a torsion axle you'll want to check the axle tag for any kind of serial or part number and for the capacity. If it's a leaf spring suspension then you'll need to check if the leaf springs sit above or below the axle. If they sit below the axle you can have new spring seats welded to the axle tube to raise the leaf springs up. Dexter has kits made up for 2-3/8" # K71-384-00 and 3" # K71-385-00 diameter axle tubes. If you have a smaller diameter let me know and I can find the right parts for you. The black tank drain sitting 3.5" from the ground definitely does offer a better chance of it getting busted up.

@KevinC The previous person (Conner L) said that the 1999 17CK had a Dexter Torflex Axle I was hoping there was a cross-refence guide that you have access to and could look it up. I do know it's a torsion axle. I'm a big guy and there's not a lot of room under the camper to look. Do you think after a lift I could get 215/75-15s under it?

@Jimm You could go with the # K71-707-01 Conner recommended but without checking the serial number of the axle there's no way to confirm. The only one that would possibly have a catalog of what parts were used on your trailer would be the manufacturer so there's nothing I have to cross reference. 215/75R15 tires have a 27.70" overall diameter so you can check your current tire size diameter and width and see if the difference wouldn't give you enough clearance. You should have at least 3" of clearance from the tire vertically to the fender and at least 1" of clearance from the wheel to the frame horizontally.

I sent your axle info to Dexter and they were able to determine that you have a set of 7k Dexter Torflex axles so the correct lift you need is the part #K71-725-02 which will give you a lift of 3-1/8 inches.
