Troubleshooting Tow-Pro Liberty Calibration Light Not Showing With No Trailer Attached

Question:

2018 sierra 1500 crewcab Installed redarc liberty ,has no calibration light , checked fuse ok , checked connections ok , blue light comes on when manual button pushed which is telling no trailer attached . please help

What you are experiencing with your # RED24FR is perfectly normal. The brake controller will still calibrate without the trailer connected, but you won't have the LED indication showing this is happening. Once a trailer is connected you will see a solid blue light. However, it wouldn't hurt to hook up the trailer and make sure everything is functioning properly.
